If you have suggestions for improvement, please contact me. Posting in the review that theres a room for improvement doesnt help me at all, I am not a designer, but a software engineer.

Please report missing alloys, as in either post the alloy name, or contact me. Complaining in the review "I didnt find what I wanted" means very little.

If you encounter any problems using the app, please contact me using email. Posting in the review you have a problem, wont give me enough information to fix it.

Sorry, there will be no translations to any language. There is no team, I am just one person collecting steel data and coding the app on web and mobile platforms. I have neither time nor resources to keep constantly translating large database.

Case CV has been the database for a long time. Search for Case does show in the results. Case isnt the steel maker though.

Pros and cons of Knife Steel Composition Chart app for iPhone and iPad

Knife Steel Composition Chart app good for

Very happy with this app, useful both when shopping for knives and when choosing steel for blade making
Love it. The only thing I would change is if it had a section showing most recent additions so we can see what is new in steel and any updated descriptions, not app related but data related section.
Takes a bit to get used to but when you do and if youre a knife nut you will love this ap. Very useful, lots and lots of different steels & tons of info. Great job!
Very useful app for someone that could spend all day reading about knife steel. He provides not just the molecular composition but the plain language descriptions of what it means. Spend some time with this app and youll learn quite a bit.
This is a very comprehensive list of all knife steels in use today. I really appreciate how much work went into this app. If I ever have a question about a particular steel I can quickly reference the information in this app in seconds. Beats the heck out of cruising blade forums for information that is more times than not based on opinion. This is a knife steel encyclopedia filled with known data. I like to look through it just for fun sometimes. I always learn something. Thanks for making this resource available to the masses!
Most excellent app! For a knife fanatic it provides truth about steels that cut thru the hype.

Some bad moments

The app completely crashes when you try to select an element in the steel composition chart
A little lacking in the descriptions sometimes but overall a great reference!!
Great reference for all types of steel, anyone who owns knives need this app! You can compare different steels also, great app!
If you love knives and the steel their made from, you have to get this app.
Whats not to like? Comprehensive and updated info...great job.
...this is the app. The search function and filters are the best features so far! Just drop a name/number and BOOM, there it is. Great learning tool for knife nuts or anyone else interested in steel.
